MARCH 2018

The sneachta has melted, Spring finally feels like it's on it's way, and time really is Marching on...

(Sorry, that was too punderful an opening to resist.)

So, since our last update in early February, it feels like we've been even busier since then, despite the few snow days in between!

The mid-term break in February meant we didn't see as many TY students as usual, however, the studio (and our staff!) were kept busy for that mid-term week as we worked with WMOF on some of their Amoris Laetitia programmes
, which will air in advance of the World Meeting of Families in August. You can read more about the WMOF here.

We were also delighted to work with Social Justice Ireland, live-streaming their Seminar on Global Justice Day to launch their Sustainable Progress Index. You can find out more about the day, and watch back some of the presentations on their page https://www.socialjustice.ie/content/publications/sustainable-progress-index-2018

Our Maynooth University students have also been busy this month, filming short interviews around the village, planning their final year film shoots, as well as directing and filming their studio-based dramas.

Our editor & videographer Seamus was down in Listowel recently to film a short video introduction to the parish where his Grandfather taught in the 1930s, and returned to the church in the Square where his father made his First Communion in the 1940s. St. Mary's Church on the Square in Listowel is where Mass for St. Patrick's Day will be broadcast from for RTÉ One at 11am on Sat. March 17th, and will available to watch back on the RTÉ player here.

He and our broadcast crew will be back on the road again toward the end of the Month for our Easter Services from Wexford.
